Body Tech:

This movement is influenced by the technique known as Blood Flow Restriction training and the Torniquet poses in the Bishnu Ghosh lineage of yoga. In essence by squeezing your muscles tightly in parts of the body to then release, first restricts the blood flow then allows a rush of oxygenated blood to the muscles assisting in enhanced circulation, detoxification and bringing additional oxygen and nutrients to the body therefore allowing the gift to come through the discomfort.

Movement:

Breath in deeply through the nose as you contort your body into a position that feels small restrictive as you clench every muscle. Try to hold this position for up to 10 seconds. Then as you release breathing out of your mouth make a haaaaaa sound, as you open and stretch your chest to the sky, extending your head back. Do this restrictive close and expansive open move 10 times in a row. If this does not fit your body do the same exact breath work but with just closing the fist tightly and opening the hand as you haaaaaa the breath out.
